In a swift response to public outrage, the Zimbabwean government has deported three Chinese nationals accused of torturing a mine worker in Bindura, Mashonaland Central.
According to ZimLive, the trio, identified as Gung Wai Lam, Xiang Nan, and Liu Xuehua, were linked to a disturbing incident at Makanga Mine in Bindura, where a worker was subjected to a gruesome punishment for allegedly ste@ling diesel.
The victim was reportedly tied to a front-end loader and hoisted into the air, sparking widespread condemnation. The incident was captured on video and circulated online, prompting a fierce backlash from the Zimbabwe Miners Federation, which described the torture as “appalling, vile, inhumane, and savage.”

According to reports, the government has taken swift action, with spokesperson Ndavaningi Mangwana confirming the deportation of the three Chinese nationals. Their permits and visas have also been revoked.
This incident is not an isolated one, as miners’ unions have long complained about abuses by Chinese miners in the country.
