A 37-year-old man, Chrispen Chengeta, is currently battling for his life in the hospital after allegedly being st@bbed in the stomach during a heated altercation stemming from a salary dispute.
According to Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, the incident unfolded on Thursday at approximately 4 pm at Majuta fuel station, located within the Charandura Business Centre in Chirumhanzu.
Inspector Mahoko revealed that Chengeta, a resident of Gwatiringa village in Chirumhanzu, approached his female colleague, responsible for wage disbursements, requesting payment of his previous day’s wages amounting to $24.

However, Chengeta was instructed to await the arrival of their employer, a directive that seemingly infuriated him, leading to a misunderstanding between the two individuals.
As tensions escalated, Justin Svosve, a 38-year-old fellow employee, intervened in an attempt to mediate the dispute, urging Chengeta to direct his grievances towards their employer. Regrettably, the situation took a vi0lent turn, culminating in Chengeta’s alleged st@bbing.
