The first Vice President General (Rtd) Dr C.D.G.N Chiwenga has delivered a keynote address to delegates attending the Investment Conference being held at the Harare International Conference Centre.
The Investment Conference is part of the ongoing 7th SADC Industrialisation Week.
According to the Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana’s X post, newsreportzim.com has reliably informed that today, 29th of August 2024, the Vice President General (Rtd) Chiwenga addressed the keynote to delegates attending the Investment Conference at HICC.
“This afternoon, Vice President General (Rtd) Dr C.D.G.N Chiwenga delivered a keynote address to delegates attending the Investment Conference being held at the HICC as part of the ongoing 7th SADC Industrialisation Week. In attendance are Foreign Investors, Delegates and Captains of Industry from the SADC Region and beyond,” Nick Mangwana wrote.
The 7th SADC Industrialisation Week conference is running under the theme ‘Promoting Innovation to Unlock Opportunities for Sustainable Economic Growth and Development Towards an Industrialised SADC.’
The conference is scheduled to run from 28th of July to August 2 2024
During his address, Vice President Dr Chiwenga said the theme aligns with the SADC Industrialisation Strategy and roadmap which aims at the enhancing the policy environment for industrial development and creating regional value chains.
“Let me assure you that Zimbabwe is safe and attractive investment destination,” Chiwenga said.
“The government, led by His Excellency, the President Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is committed to creating a business-friendly environment and attracting global investments,” Chiwenga added.
