One witness sat down with the Marondera man who m_rdered his wife and he had this to say :
I had a nearly hour-long one-on-one discussion with this young man after he m_rdered his wife and child.
At first, I was very angry about his actions until he narrated his story.
Surely, you will understand his anger.
His wife got pregnant after finishing Form 6. When the results came out, she had passed.
The husband said, “Dear wife, go to university, and I will take care of the child and look for money for your fees. Once you finish your degree, I will go next,” because the husband was also young and had good A-level results.
The wife finished her degree recently because this couple got married in December 2018.
So, the wife finished her studies and got a permanent senior position at REA, being paid handsomely.
She had only been at her job for four months when she started refusing to have int!macy ,claiming she had gone back to school.
She said, “I can’t have another child with you until I have a degree.”
She said, “I can’t have int!macy with an unemployed person.”
She said, “I won’t cook for someone who doesn’t work.”
Because the husband never found a decent job, he was hustling to find fees for his wife and take care of the child, but now the wife was talking rubbish.
He said, “If I saw a message on my wife’s phone and asked her about it, she would say, ‘If you’re hurt, leave.’”
He narrated many things. He said that the wife’s mother was the one encouraging her, saying, “My daughter can’t support you; leave her. Find another woman.”
It is now unfortunate that the woman did not live to tell her side of the story as it looks like there is more to this issue that what meets the eye. Many have criticized the man for letting his emotions get in the way based on the side of the story he shares.
