English Premier League gaint, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid have reportedly opened negotiations regarding the transfer of the midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The midfielder has made no secret of wanting to remain at Stamford Bridge to continue to represent his boyhood club, which he captained for the majority of last season.
Gallagher impressively chipped in with five goals and seven assists, playing an integral role in ensuring that the Blues finished in the top six of the Premier League standings.
According to renowned sports journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea and Atletico are now in direct talks for Gallagher deal.
“Negotiations underway for package worth around €35/40m add-ons included, requested by Chelsea,” Romano revealed.
In May 2024, Atletico Madrid boss, Diego Simeone allegedly had Gallagher on the top of his midfield shortlist.
