A 31-year-old man from Silobela tragically lost his life this week following a vi0lent altercation over a woman.
The confrontation, which escalated quickly, occurred on July 26, according to Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.
The disagreement arose between Thabani Dube, 24, and the deceased, identified as Collious Ncube, while the two were drinking beer at Linda business center in Silobela, located in the Mthethethe village under Chief Malisa’s jurisdiction.
Inspector Mahoko detailed that what began as a verbal misunderstanding rapidly escalated into a physical confrontation, leading to fatal consequences.
Feeling threatened during the altercation, Dube allegedly drew a knife from his trousers and began st@bbing Ncube multiple times.
Witnesses reported that the att@ck was aggressive and left Ncube with severe inj_ries.
After the st@bbing, immediate action was taken to get Ncube to Silobela District Hospital.
Tragically, despite the efforts of emergency personnel and medical staff, he was pronounced d3ad upon arrival.
Following the att@ck, police were called to the scene, and Dube was promptly arr£sted.
