Honourable Doctor Douglas Mombeshora, the Minister of Health and Child Care (MoHCC), received 136 utility vehicles from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Zimbabwe.
The handover ceremony took place at CEVA Logistics in Harare, marking a crucial step toward enhancing the delivery of health services across the nation.
The donation is aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of health authorities in Zimbabwe.
The vehicles will be utilized for a variety of purposes, including the transportation of medical supplies, personnel, and outreach services, particularly in remote and underserved areas.
During the ceremony, Minister Mombeshora expressed his gratitude to UNDP Zimbabwe for their ongoing support and commitment to improving healthcare in the country.
The provision of the utility vehicles aligns with the UNDP’s mission to support the government’s efforts in achieving universal health coverage and enhancing the resilience of the health system.
