Minister of Youth, Sport, Arts, and Recreation Tino Machakaire has gifted Sungura legend Alick Macheso an impressive US$10,000 during the launch of his 13th studio album.
This grand gesture took place at a packed Alex Sports Club, where Macheso’s album launch turned into a celebration of both his musical achievements and the deep respect and admiration he commands within the industry.
The event, held last night, was a significant milestone for Alick Macheso, a prominent figure in the Sungura music genre. His latest album, titled Kupa Kuturika, has been highly anticipated by fans and music enthusiasts alike.
The album features a collection of six new tracks: “Undiregererewo,” “Kuverengera,” “Hunhu Hwakashata,” Zvichada Hama,” “Murangarire,” and “Kunditaya”.
The launch event, held at the Alex Sports Club, saw a remarkable turnout as fans flocked to witness Macheso’s live performance.

Minister Machakaire’s decision to bestow such a substantial gift upon Macheso was accompanied by heartfelt words of praise and support.

In addition to the monetary gift, Alick Macheso revealed that Minister Machakaire had also promised him a truck.
