On Monday , a tragic accident claimed the life of a 14-year-old Form 1 pupil from Founders High School. The young girl, whose identity has not been disclosed, was struck and k!lled by a UD truck while making her way to school.
The incident occurred along an unnamed road when the truck, driven by Fani Herbert, made a left turn from Upper Rangemore.
According to police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube, the girl fell onto the tarmac upon impact and sustained severe injur!es, which ultimately led to her d3ath at the scene.
Eyewitness accounts reveal the chaotic aftermath of the accident. The driver, attempting to avoid responsibility for the incident, reportedly shifted the blame onto the victim, claiming that she was at fault.
This assertion sparked outrage among bystanders, who urged him to retract his statement. However, the driver stood firm in his position, which only escalated tensions.
According to sources, the father’s confrontation with the truck driver quickly turned physical, resulting in an exchange of blows.
