Police in Chakari have arr3sted a security guard, Englam Musipa, aged 21, in connection with a gruesome m_rder that took place at the Oliander 1 Gold Mine on August 12, 2024.
According to law enforcement officials, Musipa allegedly sh0t Prince Muthimukhulu, a 32-year-old laborer, in the head with a .303 rifle after witnessing him carrying a sack of gold ore from the mining site.
The incident has raised serious concerns about security protocols and the use of firearms by private security personnel in the region, especially since Musipa was part of a security team hired by the mining cooperative specifically to protect their valuable claims from theft and unauthorized access.
