Clement Hadebe, a 29-year-old resident of Madadeni, experienced a fatal event in Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal. Last Sunday, he went out with several buddies and met a man, who invited him home.
Hadebe was found sh0t nine times and k!lled at a Johannesburg BnB early the next day, Monday. ZiMoja claims that Hadebe met his purported m_rderer in the well-known KwaMai Mai Market in central Johannesburg, where he was bought beverages.
Hadebe’s companion who talked with ZiMoja claimed that the man and his friends joined them and offered to buy them drinks. The acquaintance told Hadebe to tell the man he was a male when he expressed interest in him.
Despite this counsel, Hadebe refused to expose his s3xuality and eventually accepted the man’s request to go home with him, resulting in the fatal outcome.
Another acquaintance told ZiMoja that when in a car with the men and Hadebe on their way to their hostel in Jules, Hadebe’s buddy was abruptly told to quit the vehicle since the males just wanted to be alone with her.
Hadebe was found sh0t nine times the next day, apparently by the man who had left with him that night.
A different buddy told ZiMoja that they believe Hadebe was targeted and k!lled by the man after understanding his s3xual orientation.
Expressing shock and dismay, the friend recounted how the man had generously spent money, assuming he had taken a woman home and even reserved a room at a bed and breakfast. He should have just let him go. What he did was appalling.
I pray he faces justice for this heinous act. Hadebe was a wonderful person who cherished life; he did not deserve this,” the friend lamented.
