Police in Chipinge are currently investigating a case of murd3r that unfolded on August 17, 2024, at Manyanya Village in Mutema .
Two bodies; one of 70-year-old Sophia Sithole and the other of her four-year-old granddaughter were discovered tragically charred within a hut that had been set ablaze.
Disturbingly, Sophia was b_rned beyond recognition, while her granddaughter was found with a fractured skull, suggesting a vi0lent act preceding the fire.
The police have arrested a suspect, Trust Sithole Chivhunze, believed to be a mental patient, in connection with this gruesome incident.
In a separate and equally disturbing incident on August 18, 2024, a 19-year-old woman was found de@d in her room in Magada, Stopover, Epworth, after the premises was engulfed in flames.
The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire, which has raised numerous questions within the community.
The victim’s husband, identified as Brian Gorosvipa Muzanenhamo, is currently being sought by police for questioning in connection with this tragic event.
The police are urging anyone with information regarding any of the above cases to come forward to help in this ongoing investigation.
