A 26-year-old man named Panashe Tinotenda Magusvu from Rujeko, Chinhoyi, has been sentenced to 12 months in prison for indecently @ssaulting a 10-year-old girl.
The incident occurred on July 13, 2024, when the girl was traveling with her mother in a Honda Fit and sat in the boot of the vehicle alongside Magusvu.
During the ride, he inappropriately touched the girl’s private parts multiple times and caressed her thighs, making an unwanted advance that included offering her a dollar bill, which she declined.
After the girl reported the incident to her mother once they reached their destination, they filed a police report that led to Magusvu’s arrest.
Ultimately, he was sentenced to 12 months in prison, with 3 months suspended for five years, and the remaining 9 months suspended on the condition that he completes 280 hours of community service.
