The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) is currently investigating a case of stock th3ft involving the th3ft of 21 cattle from Plot 21 at Batch Farm in Banket, which occurred on August 22 2024.
However, the police found nine of the st0len cattle deboned, indicating a likely illegal butchering operation.
Additionally, 12 other cattle were successfully recovered at a neighboring farm, raising hopes of a broader investigation into the crime.
At the crime scene, police also discovered 37 knives, piles of steak meat, and 50 kg of empty bags, suggesting a large-scale operation aimed at processing the stolen livestock.
The evidence collected points to organized criminal activity, and as a result, Sauro Mudzimiri, a 32-year-old suspect, has been arrested in connection with the case.
