Controversial internet personality Andrew Tate has been placed under house arrest by a Romanian judge as new and grave charges emerge against him.
The allegations now include s3xual misconduct with a minor and traff!cking underage individuals.
Tate, along with his brother Tristan, appeared in court on Thursday. Tristan Tate has been subjected to special judicial control. Prosecutors had requested that both brothers be remanded in custody for 30 days to facilitate an ongoing investigation involving 35 alleged victims, including a 15-year-old girl at the time of the alleged abus3.
Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, has confirmed that a total of six individuals—both Romanian and foreign—have been detained in connection with the case.
Outside the courtroom, Andrew Tate vehemently denied the allegations, describing them as a “stitch-up” and claiming that the accusations were based on lies. He insisted that 30 of the alleged victims had stated no wrongdoing and criticized the credibility of the charges. When pressed by BBC reporters about the specific allegations involving a 15-year-old girl, Tate declined to comment and walked away.

The Tate brothers are already facing charges related to human traff!cking, and Andrew Tate is additionally charged with rap3. They are awaiting trial for these charges and were previously released from house arr3st a year ago with restrictions on leaving Romania.
The new accusations involve claims that the brothers were grooming vulnerable individuals to produce p0rn0graphic material for online platforms. One foreign detainee is alleged to have forced a 17-year-old to perform s3xual acts for profit, with the proceeds totaling $1.5 million. The same individual is also accused of engaging in s3xual relations with a 15-year-old girl.
Prosecutors also allege that the Tate brothers used illicit earnings to purchase luxury cars, which were registered under different names to conceal the funds. Investigators have seized 16 luxury vehicles, along with cash, luxury watches, laptops, and documents, during a 10-hour search of multiple properties.
Andrew Tate dismissed the new allegations as “pathetic” and claimed that the accusations were fabricated. He has labeled the case against him as a mainstream “conspiracy” aimed at silencing him.
