A Limpopo teenager has appeared in court on allegations of r@ping two Grade R females.
Police said the Grade 11 student appeared in the Polokwane Children’s Court this week on accusations of r@pe and s3xual ab_se.
Colonel Malesela Ledwaba, Limpopo police spokesperson, said the rape occurred in two distinct incidences.
“The first victim, a six-year-old girl in Grade R, was r@ped by the accused at one of the Christian schools outside Polokwane in Dalmada.”
“In the second incident, a six-year-old grade R victim met with the same accused, who asked her to touch his private parts while she was going to drink water at the school.”
According to police, preliminary investigations indicated that the accused, a foreign national, was staying with his adopted mother, who also teaches at the school.
“The accused was arrested on August 24, a day after both cases were opened.”
“He was then detained at Polokwane Juvenile Centre until his first appearance.”
The matter was moved until September 10 for further investigation.
The Provincial Commissioner of the South African authorities Service in Limpopo has severely condemned the reported crimes and urged teachers and parents to protect their children and report any suspicious abuse to the authorities right away.
