Police in Bulawayo are conducting an investigation into a tragic road traffic accident that took place around 1:15 AM along 12th Avenue Extension.
The incident involved a Nissan Caravan vehicle, with the registration number AFE 7547, which struck and fatally injured a yet-to-be-identified male adult, approximately 35 years old.
Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud thud as the vehicle collided with the pedestrian, who was dressed in brown trousers and a black jacket at the time of the accident.
Emergency services arrived promptly, but despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced de_d on the scene.
Police are urging anyone who has a relative that matches the victim’s description to come forward and check with the Bulawayo Central Police Station.
The police have not yet disclosed any details about the driver of the vehicle or any potential charges that may follow.
