Police in Buhera are conducting an investigation into a tragic road traffic accident that resulted in four fatalities on September 7 at approximately 1900 hours.
The incident took place at the 61 km peg along the Chivhu-Nyazura Road, where a Nissan Caravan NV350 was traveling towards Buhera with four passengers aboard.
In a devastating turn of events, the vehicle collided with the trailer of a Freight Liner truck, which was also traveling towards Buhera but was unoccupied by any passengers.
The impact of the collision was severe, and unfortunately, all four occupants of the Nissan Caravan lost their lives at the scene.
Emergency personnel quickly responded, transporting the bodies of the deceased to Murambinda Mission Hospital mortuary, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted.
Meanwhile, one individual who was injured in the crash is currently receiving medical treatment at the same hospital.
Authorities are urging witnesses to come forward with any information that may aid in the investigation, as the community mourns this tragic loss of life on the roads.
