Tensions have escalated in a Harare neighborhood as a bitter dispute between two women culminated in the court appearance of Chipo Kumbula, who accuses her neighbour, Gugulethu Kambanye, of k!lling her husband through supernatural means.
In a heart-wrenching plea to the court, Kumbula expressed her devastation, claiming that after receiving threats from Kambanye, she woke up to discover her husband d3ad.
She described a pattern of intimidation, revealing that Kambanye had not only threatened her family but also att@cked her with stones while accusing her of witchcr@ft.
Kambanye, however, categorically denies the allegations, asserting that Kumbula is fabricating stories in a bid to have her arrested and gain control over her property.
The accusations of m_rder, @ssault, and witchcr@ft have fostered an atmosphere of fear and suspicion among residents.
Kumbula’s fears were palpable as she recounted her distress, stating that the threats have left her living in constant anxiety.
In response to the turmoil, Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Kumbula a peace order, a temporary measure aimed at curbing further viol3nce and protecting her family.
As the court proceedings unfold, the neighborhood remains gripped by unease, with both women standing firm in their opposing narratives.
