Police in Bulawayo have launched a manhunt for two suspects, Lameck Mguni (32) and an unknown accomplice, who are believed to have lured a 46-year-old man from Burnside to a local sports bar on Tuesday evening.
Once there, they reportedly convinced him to accompany them to Starling Drive to meet s3x workers.
However, just a short distance from the bar, the suspects att_cked the man, using an iron bar to beat him and an Okapi knife to st_b him multiple times in the head.
The victim was left bleeding profusely on the ground before he managed to seek help and report the incident to the police.
He suffered severe !njuries, including swelling on the head, deep cuts, and bruises, but the suspects managed to escape into nearby bushes and remain at large.
In a separate incident, a 29-year-old man from Emakhandeni is in critical condition at Mpilo Central Hospital after being stabbed by Godfrey Manyoka (36).
Manyoka confronted the victim at around 1 am on Tuesday regarding accusations of dating his girlfriend.
During the confrontation, a fight broke out, and Manyoka stabbed the complainant with an Okapi knife in various locations, including the back and chest.
Following the incident, a police report was filed, leading to Manyoka’s arrest and the recovery of the weapon.
Inspector Abednigo Ncube emphasized the dangers of carrying weapons and urged the public to avoid violent behavior.
