A woman deceived her sister into leaving their rural home under the false pretense of providing her an education in the city. In truth, her intention was far more sinister: she sought to hand her sister over to her husband as a form of compensation for her own infidelities.
This marked the beginning of a harrowing experience for the younger sister, who became an unwitting victim of her sister’s husband. Over an extended period, she endured repeated ass@ults and thre@ts to her life whenever she attempted to escape.
The older sister left the two alone in their small Gwanda residence for nearly a month, creating an environment ripe for abus3. Once she returned from her visit to Binga, the ab_se continued, sometimes happening right before her eyes.
After each ordeal, the sister was forced to consume a disturbing red mixture as part of her husband’s ongoing abus3.

The 49-year-old woman from Binga was eventually arrested and appeared before the Hwange Magistrates’ Court, facing charges of rape or, alternatively, complicity in the crime.
According to the allegations cited by H Metro, the incidents began in August 2013 when the sister was lured to Gwanda with the promise of education. By October of that same year, the older sister returned to Binga, leaving her sibling and husband alone in a cramped living space.
Contrary to the promise of attending school, the younger sister was met with harsh reality when her brother-in-law revealed the true nature of the arrangement: her sister’s infidelity had led to her being offered as a substitute.
From October to November 2013, the sister suffered consistent non-consensual encounters. When the older sister returned, the abuse escalated even further.
In August 2021, the young woman attempted to flee but was caught and dragged back to Gwanda, where she faced d3adly threats from her sister’s husband. Despite managing to escape later that month and inform her parents about her plight, little action was taken to address her situation.
Finally, on June 17 of this year, she filed a police report in Bulawayo, leading to the arrest of her sister. The woman has been held in custody, with a scheduled court appearance on October 4.
