South African Airways (SAA) is increasing its flight frequency between Johannesburg and Harare from 10 to 12 flights per week, starting November 5.
This move responds to growing demand from travelers between the two cities.
New Flight Schedule:
– SA25: Harare to Johannesburg (Monday-Friday, 7:20 am – 9:00 am)
– SA23: Harare to Johannesburg (Daily, 12:25 pm – 2:05 pm)
– SA24: Johannesburg to Harare (Daily, 10:00 am- 11:35 am)
– Additional Sunday-Thursday flight: Johannesburg to Harare (8:10 pm – 9:45 pm)
According to SAA Country Manager Julia Rewayi, this increase caters to rising demand driven by:
– Growing ties between South Africa and Zimbabwe
– Expatriate movement
– Tourism surge
– Heightened trade relations SAA’s densification strategy focuses on strengthening African operations.
The airline has dominated the Johannesburg
-Harare route for over 20 years, providing reliable services to business and leisure travelers.
This development follows Uganda Airlines’ introduction of Harare-Entebbe flights, targeting:
