The ministry announced that investigations are underway to trace the origin of these infections and ensure thorough containment measures are implemented.
Those who have contracted the virus have been isolated for careful treatment to prevent further transmission.
While the exact number of cases was not disclosed, officials indicated that the cases remain limited at this time.
Marburg virus is part of the same family as the Ebola virus and is primarily transmitted to humans from fruit bats, emphasizing the necessity for robust public health interventions to control its spread.
Symptoms of the disease can manifest as high fevers, severe headaches, vomiting, muscle aches, and stomach pains, all of which require immediate medical attention to manage the potentially fatal consequences.
