Pardon Home, a 37-year-old man from Zvishavane, has been sentenced to five years in prison for the fatal st_bbing of a nightclub patron following a dispute over a beer.
The incident occurred on March 9, 2022, at the Safari Night Club located in the Four Miles Business Center, where Home was socializing and drinking beer.
The now-deceased individual abruptly seized one of the six beers that Home had purchased, which sparked a heated altercation between the two men as they fought over the beverage.
The confrontation escalated, leading them outside the nightclub where Home produced a sharp object from his pocket.
In a fit of rage, he used the weapon to st_b the victim in the head and arms, resulting in severe inj_ries.
Following the attack, Home fled the scene, while the victim was rushed to the hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his inj_ries the next day.
Subsequent investigations by law enforcement officials led to Home’s arrest, and he was convicted of Culpable Homicide, receiving an eight-year sentence with three years suspended on the condition of good behavior.
