The Zimbabwe Republic Police is currently conducting investigations into two separate m_rder cases that occurred on October 1, 2024, in Harare and Chitungwiza.
In the first incident reported along Antony Road in Hopely, Harare, 40-year-old Pardon Muvengwa was fatally st_bbed during an altercation.
Witnesses have indicated that Muvengwa intervened to protect a friend who was being assa_lted by an unknown assailant.
In the process of trying to restrain the aggressor, Muvengwa was attacked and st_bbed once in the chest with an unidentified weapon.
Despite immediate medical assistance being rendered, he sadly succumbed to his inj_ries shortly after.
The police have launched an in-depth investigation to identify the suspect and gather evidence from the crime scene, encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
In a separate case, police in Chitungwiza are also probing a murd3r that took place in an open space in Zengeza 3, where 27-year-old Promise Muzire lost his life.
While details surrounding the circumstances of Muzire’s death are still emerging, initial reports suggest that he may have been involved in a confrontation that escalated to viol3nce.
As the investigations unfold, police are urging the public to remain calm and cooperate with law enforcement agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.
