Joseph Musona, a 23-year-old from Samakande village in Ruwangwe, has been sent to ja1l for physically @ssaulting his mother, according to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).
On October 1, 2024, Joseph came home drunk and barged into his mother’s bedroom without knocking, which led to a heated argument.
When she confronted him about his behavior, he became aggressive.

He attacked her by grabbing her neck, dragging her off the bed, and pushing her outside.
The incident was reported to the police, leading to his arr3st.
In court, Joseph was sentenced to six months in ja!l, but the sentence was suspended if he completes 210 hours of community service.
The NPA of Zimbabwe urges the public to avoid violence and resolve conflicts peacefully or seek mediation.
