The community of Muzarabani is mourning the tragic death of Jethro Mudhakwa, aged 56, who was allegedly k!lled by his wife, Martha Mushawemhuka, 44, in a beer-fueled dispute.
According to authorities, the incident occurred on October 6 at the Muzarabani Business Centre, where the couple reportedly had an argument after consuming alcohol.
The domestic altercation escalated when Mushawemhuka is said to have struck her husband on the head with a metal object, resulting in severe inj_ries that caused bl00d to flow from his wound.
A concerned neighbor, Tabeth Bangomwe, intervened to stop the ass_ult and protect Mudhakwa from further harm.
Following the incident, Mudhakwa was taken to St Alberts Hospital for urgent medical attention, but despite the efforts of healthcare professionals, he tragically succumbed to his inj_ries.
Acting Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Sergeant Major Samuel Chikasha confirmed the details of the case and reiterated the need for community members to reject vi0lence in all forms.
As investigations continue, the local police are urging residents to seek peaceful resolutions and support mental health resources to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
