The Citizens Coalition for Change spokesperson, Promise Mkwananzi has accused Zimbabwe’s ruling party Zanu PF of ste@ling the former party president, Nelson Chamisa’s political campaign manifesto. According to Mkwananzi, this include the renaming of Zimbabwe’s provinces, aimed to eliminate colonial-era names that have historically fueled division among the population.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Promise Mkwananzi articulated that Zanu PF say President Chamisa has no manifesto and policies during the day but plagiarize his manifesto during the night and never acknowledging for copying great ideas.
“They say President @nelsonchamisa has no manifesto and policies during the day but plagiarize his manifesto during the night. They tried to destroy the Alternative because they realised that it has a superior logic and a greater vision than theirs.
Thank you nonetheless for acknowledging and copying great ideas. Unfortunately, you may never implement them as effectively and as precisely as the originator and generator of those ideas and the vision that drove them.
Reducing, detribalising and renaming the provinces will help deescalate a lot of issues. Hopefully, you can also decentralize and devolve power, authority and resources to the new provinces as provided for by the 2013 constitution, including actualizing the provincial councils/governments”, Mkwananzi wrote
The Citizens Coalition for Change spokesperson’s @ccusation came after the ruling part Zanu PF called for the renaming the country’s ten provinces. This resolution emerged from the party’s 21st Annual National People’s Conference, which was concluded in Bulawayo on Saturday last week.
