The Zimbabwe national men’s rugby team, the Sables, has departed for a highly anticipated international tour of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and South Korea.
Captain Hilton Mudariki expressed excitement, reported, Manicapost, “This tour is a fantastic opportunity for us to play in diverse conditions, strengthen our team, and prepare for 2027 World Cup qualification.”
The Sables will face off against the UAE and South Korea in crucial matches, building on their momentum after winning the Africa Cup in Uganda earlier this year.
Coach Pieter Benade emphasized the tour’s significance, “We’re broadening our squad and deepening our team ahead of challenging matches against the UAE and Asia Cup giants, South Korea.
Upcoming Schedule:
* November 5: The Sables will face the UAE in Dubai at 7:30 PM local time.
* November 6: The team will depart for a training camp in Seoul, South Korea.
* November 16: Test match against South Korea.
* November 18: Departure from Seoul to their respective home bases in Zimbabwe.
