World leaders are responding to the results of the 2024 presidential election, where former President Donald Trump led against Vice President Kamala Harris and has claimed victory.
French President Emmanuel Macron congratulated Trump, saying he is ready to work together again for peace and prosperity.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also congratulated Trump and his wife, Melania, calling it “history’s greatest comeback” and highlighting the strong relationship between Israel and America. Netanyahu and other Israeli officials shared their congratulations as well.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban celebrated Trump’s victory, calling it “the biggest comeback in U.S. political history.” He expressed hope for better cooperation between Hungary and the U.S. on issues like peace and immigration.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy praised Trump’s win, mentioning that they look forward to strong U.S. support for Ukraine. He emphasized the need for a strong approach to achieve peace in Ukraine.
NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte stated that Trump’s leadership will be important for the alliance, and he looks forward to working with him. Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, congratulated Trump and stressed the importance of U.S.-EU relations.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also congratulated Trump, emphasizing the strong bond between Italy and the United States.
On the other hand, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova shared a video of Harris and commented on it positively. Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev suggested that Trump’s business mindset could lead to less financial support for Ukraine. He questioned how much support Trump will provide for the ongoing conflict.
