Jameson Timba, the interim leader of the Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC) faction and the remaining Avondale78 will appear before the Harare Magistrates today, 11 November 2024 for their highly anticipated case ruling.
Jameson Timba and other members of the #Avondale78’s judgement was reserved by the High Court of Zimbabwe later last month after denied bail for several time.
The opposition activists have been held in pre-trial detention for over 145 days since their arrest on June 16, 2024, alongside Timba’s son and other activists at his private residence in Avondale.
The accused Citizens Coalition for Change activists were acquitted in September of a charge of disorderly conduct in a public place, leaving only a final charge of holding an unlawful gathering.
