The Deputy Mayor of Bulawayo, Clr Edwin Ndlovu, and Clr Mpumelelo Moyo, who represents Ward 26, have been arr3sted by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC).
They are accused of demanding a $20,000 bribe from an investor who wanted to build a cement manufacturing plant in the city.

ZACC’s Communication and Media Liaison Manager, Simiso Mlevu, confirmed the arr3st as reported by B Metro, stating that they asked for the money to help approve the land application for the cement plant.
The two councillors are expected to appear in court soon. ZACC has been investigating corrupt activities at the Bulawayo City Council, and other workers have also been arrested recently for similar charges.
