A Zimbabwean man has steered mixed reactions after recording a video of a delightful reaction when he saw snow for the first time after moving to the UK.
In a video, 27-year-old Noel Bakon is seen happily dancing in a light layer of snow in Malvern, Worcestershire, according to the Telegraph.
Noel moved to England in June to be with his wife, Jaima, 29, whom he met at an animal park in Gweru, Zimbabwe, in 2019.
“I felt like a baby seeing snow for the first time. I honestly wanted to cry because I was so excited,” Noel said. “I had only seen snow on TV and thought it might be fake. It felt like I was in a movie. I can’t wait for it to snow heavily.”

Before moving, Noel worked as a procurement officer in Gweru, where he met Jaima, who was volunteering at the time. “I was enjoying my work when I noticed her looking at me. She made the first move and came over,” he recalled.
Jaima returned to the UK after her volunteer work ended, but came back to Zimbabwe in January 2021. “We fell in love instantly. I was drawn to him from the start,” she said.
They got married in March 2021 and applied for a spousal visa, which was approved in June. Now, Noel works as a chef, and Jaima is a care worker.
