Natalie Ncube, a 22-year-old Bulawayo resident, faces th3ft charges for allegedly conspiring with her boyfriend, Enock Tambalika, to steal her co-tenant’s red VW Golf car valued at R30,000.
According to Chronicle, the car, which had been left in Ms. Priviledge Moyo’s custody by her friend, Mr. Njabulo Ndlovu, was st0len from their shared residence in Magwegwe North.
Ncube claims she’s innocent, suggesting Tambalika is seeking revenge due to their troubled relationship.
However, Tambalika implicated Ncube during his arrest, stating they planned the theft together.
Ncube maintains they only discussed the unused car, and Tambalika acted alone. The incident occurred on October 19, when Tambalika allegedly towed the car away at 1 am.
Ms. Moyo reported the theft, leading to Ncube’s arrest and recovery of the car in Nketa 7. The case continues today at the Bulawayo regional Magistrate court.
