La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring 21-year-old RB Leipzig center-back Castello Lukeba as their top target for the 2025 summer transfer window.
According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, Castello Lukeba has attracted interest from Real Madrid. The Spanish giants are eager to address their squad’s defensive shortcomings in the 2025 summer transfer window, with the 21-year-old center-back emerging as Los Blancos’ primary defensive target.
“The release clause in the new contract signed by Castello Lukeba at RB Leipzig will come into effect starting summer 2025.
It’s around €90 million but varies from season to season. Real Madrid and Premier League clubs are closely monitoring Lukeba’s progress for 2025,” Fabrizio posted.
Real Madrid are currently facing defensive struggles due to injuries. Both Éder Militão and Dani Carvajal have been sidelined for the season, with Militão suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) inj_ry.
