VIDEO: Mutare woman seeks help from sp!ritual husband who appears in boxer shorts since 2009

A 44-year-old woman from Hobhouse, Mutare, who has four children, has shared alarming statements about experiencing h@rassment from an unseen man, believed to be a spiritual husband, who has been tormenting her for years.

During an interview on Monday, Anna Mutepfura stated that this man, whom only she can see, appears wearing boxer shorts and has been h@rassing her since 2009.

Speaking tearfully about her situation, she revealed that at times she considers taking her own life since no one in her family is willing to help her.

“I have been facing this terrifying issue since my secondary school days. Sometimes I just wish I were d3ad; I even think about throwing myself in front of an oncoming train,” she said in an interview with Manica Post.

She describes seeing the face of the man who h@rasses her, yet she does not know him.

According to Mai Mutepfura, spiritual advisors have told her that her tribulations stem from her mother, Mbuya Ennet Mutepfura, who made a vow to become a spirit medium from a young age.

She claims that the h@rassment began in 2009, and since then, she has had no peace as this man continues to torment her. Occasionally, she finds him lying on the bed when she is with her husband or friends.

“Whenever I try to resist him, I lose control, and it feels as if my mind is unstable. This has happened many times, and I cannot stop him. He comes around whenever he wants to and does what he wishes with me,” she shared.

Moreover, she explained that when she seeks help from her mother, they react with anger, claiming not to want to get involved in her issues.

“When I ask my mother why she did this to me, she starts to cry or become upset,” she said. “When I dream about my mother and grandmother, who was also her mother, I know that the next day I will feel very ill. This has happened frequently.”

When questioned about the matter, Mbuya Mutepfura denied all allegations against her, insisting that her daughter harbors deep resentment towards her.

“I know that my daughter is tormented by an evil spirit, but her mind has never been disturbed. We no longer communicate since she accuses me of causing her suffering. This deeply hurts me. I don’t understand how I can help her when she knows I am just her mother. His family should assist her, yet she targets me. Anna doesn’t love me.

She doesn’t even visit me or her siblings despite us living in the same town. She keeps sending me abusive messages,” she stated.

Mai Mutepfura revealed that her husband, Mr. Cross Ndlovu, feels helpless in addressing their issue.

“He believes that this invisible man is violating his marital rights, and as a result, he has withdrawn and often insults me. He no longer cares for us, making my children suffer,” she said.

Despite being overwhelmed, Mai Mutepfura expressed her inability to take her case to the chief due to lack of the necessary funds to file it.

“I wish to report to Chief Mutasa or Chief Zimunya, but I don’t have the money for fees. I am asking anyone who can help me resolve this inexplicable issue or support my children’s education,” she pleaded.

George Kandiero, the leader of the Zimbabwe National Traditional Healers Association (Zinatha), stated that Mai Mutepfura could be helped through the removal of the spirit troubling her.

“What people in the church call ‘spiritual husbands,’ we refer to as ‘bvuri’ (spirits). This could stem from being cursed by someone out of jealousy, being used for purposes beyond their control, or being unknowingly married to a spirit or cursed to a harmful spirit while still young. It is essential to seek someone who can release her from this spirit,” he concluded.
