Manchester United and England forward, Marcus Rashford expressed his disappointed after being dropped by Ruben Amorim for Sunday’s Manchester derby when Manchester United stun Manchester City to win 2-1. The 27-year-old forward has told journalist Henry Winter that he is read for a new challenge.
“For me, personally, I’m ready for a NEW challenge and the next steps”, he said.
Rashford who has been at the club for almost 20 years and scored seven times in 24 appearances this season revealed that he is on the half way in his football journey.
“I’m halfway through my career. I don’t expect my peak to be now”.
“The best is yet to come? 100%. That’s my mentality”, he added.
After 17 Premier League goals in 2022-23, Rashford’s form has dramatically declined and the former head coach Erik ten Hag was forced to discipline him for off-field discretions on more than one occasion.
Rashford had been a regular under Amorim following his appointment last month but was left out of the trip to the Etihad Stadium at the weekend, along with fellow forward Alejandro Garnacho.
