KwaZulu-Natal man confessed on social media to the murder of his girlfriend, only to be later found dead in what is believed to be a su!c!de.
The case has sparked widespread discussion, including commentary from socialite Shadaya, who shared his perspective on the tragic events.
The situation unfolded when police discovered the body of a 25-year-old woman in the Malangeni area of Umzinto, lying on a gravel road with multiple stab wounds and a broken knife next to her.
Colonel Robert Netshiunda, spokesperson for KZN Police, indicated that the suspect, identified as Sbusiso Lawrence, had fetched his girlfriend from her home before what appeared to be a domestic dispute escalated into murd3r.
Following the incident, authorities discovered Lawrence’s vehicle abandoned nearby, stained with blood.
A manhunt was subsequently launched.
Tragically, on the morning of Wednesday, the police found Lawrence’s body hanging from a tree not far from where the murd3r occurred, presumed to be a suicide.

Prior to his death, Lawrence had posted a chilling video on Facebook, filmed at the crime scene, in which he confessed to k1lling his girlfriend.
In this video, he attempted to rationalize his actions, claiming she had ended their relationship despite his numerous sacrifices for her, and mentioned intentions to claim her Road Accident Fund (RAF) payout.
In response to this traumatic sequence of events, Shadaya weighed in, expressing frustration over Lawrence’s actions.
He condemned the man’s reasoning, stating, “This idiot unalived a woman because she apparently didn’t want him anymore despite him sacrificing a lot.” Shadaya emphasized that no one forced Lawrence to make those sacrifices, and spending money on a romantic partner does not equate to ownership.
He offered insight for both men and women, cautioning that financial gestures do not guarantee loyalty.
“Men know this—spending on a woman doesn’t mean you own her,” he stated, reinforcing that a woman’s loyalty is based on her feelings, not material sacrifices. He further noted that men who excessively spend on women often do so out of low self-esteem and may be prone to violent reactions if they feel betrayed.
Shadaya’s commentary serves as a broader warning: “Learn OR perish!!!
