American rapper Cardi B has ignited a controversial discussion with her recent remarks about why some men opt to date women deemed “less attractive.”
During a candid live stream on social media, the “WAP” star shared her perspective, suggesting that men may be attracted to these women because they are viewed as more submissive and easier to control.
Cardi explained that many men feel intimidated by confident, financially independent women, whom she labeled as “10s” on the attractiveness scale.
She argued that these women are less likely to tolerate disrespectful behavior and are more inclined to demand equality and respect in their relationships. “Men prefer less attractive women because they are more submissive than perfect 10s,” Cardi asserted.
She further elaborated that women who lack financial independence or self-confidence often feel pressured to endure poor treatment in their relationships.

“These women, they don’t have much, so they have to put up with everything,” Cardi passionately stated. “If a guy does something wrong, the next day, she’s going to answer the phone.”
In contrast, Cardi described her own approach to handling disrespect, indicating that she and other high-value women refuse to accept such behavior. “You do something disrespectful to me, you’re going on ice,” she said, holding up a glass of ice water to illustrate her point.
According to Cardi B, women considered “10s” do not engage in these dynamics, which can be intimidating for some men. “These 10s are not competing; they’re simply trying to be chosen,” she remarked. “It’s wild how men think like this today.”
The rapper’s remarks, which follow her own publicized relationship challenges and her recent divorce from rapper Offset, have sparked a wide range of reactions on social media.
