The incident, which occurred early on Friday morning, saw a RioZim flight, en route from Harare to Murowa Diamonds, meet a devastating fate. The plane was on its way to transport diamonds when it encountered a technical problem around 8AM and plunged into Peter Farm. All passengers and crew members on board were killed instantly. The crash site also revealed that the plane may have exploded midair before hitting the ground.
Masvingo Fire Brigade officers attended the scene and assisted in removing the trapped and mutilated bodies from the wreckage.

Now information has been released on the identity of victims who lost their lives in the plane crash in Mashava.
Indian business mogul Harpal Randhawa, who had vast gold, diamonds and coal mining interests in Zimbabwe, died with his son in a plane crash in Mashava. The devastating news was confirmed by his friends who spoke on condition of anonymity to The NewsHawks. Randhawa, the founder of the US$4 billion private equity firm GEM Holdings, had a big stake in RioZim.
Official Confirmation: Zimbabwe Republic Police Release Statement on Mashava Plane Crash Victims
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) released an official statement, confirming the nationalities of the Mashava plane crash victims. The crash claimed the lives of two Zimbabweans and four foreign nationals. The ZRP report outlined that the Murowa Diamond Company-owned aircraft, a white and red Zcam, had departed from Harare at 6 AM and tragically crashed approximately six kilometres from Mashava between 7:30 AM and 8 AM. The Zimbabwe Republic Police reports a plane crash which occurred on the 29th September 2023 between 0730 hours and 0800 hours where six people are confirmed dead.
The Murowa Diamond Company (RioZim) owned white and red Zcam aircraft had left Harare for the mine at 0600 hours and crushed about six kilometres from Mashava.
The victims are two Zimbabweans and four foreign nationals.
