In a shocking turn of events, the family of the late national hero, Nathan Shamuyarira, has been left feeling like they’re stuck in a bad joke. It seems presidential advisor Paul Tungwarara, a man with more connections than a SIM card, has allegedly seized their farm, Mount Carmel, in Chegutu.
The farm, which was violently taken over in 2009, has been left to rot, and now Tungwarara’s got his eyes on it. The Shamuyarira family is, understandably, fuming. “We’ve been robbed of our inheritance,” a family member cried, probably while clutching a broken heart.
Tungwarara’s got a reputation for being a bit of a slippery character, with allegations of swindling investors and defrauding businessmen flying around like confetti at a Zimbabwean wedding. But hey, who needs a good name when you’ve got connections, right?
The family has turned to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, hoping he’ll swoop in like a superhero and save the day. “VP Chiwenga, you’re a man of action,” they begged. “Please, for the love of all things good, look into this matter.”
Will Chiwenga answer the call, or will the Shamuyarira family’s pleas fall on deaf ears? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – this farm seizure saga’s got more twists than the Trabablas Interchange.
