Zimbabwean socialite Anna Honde has got social media buzzing after she offered a reward of $200 to anyone who successfully apprehends Zhao Jiaotong, the founder of E-Creator. The e-commerce platform, which enjoyed trust from many Zimbabweans, was forced to shut down following allegations of fraudulent activities.
According to an official statement from E-Creator, Zhao Jiaotong, a Chinese national, has been accused of engaging in fraudulent practices within the company. The statement claims that Jiaotong illicitly withdrew funds from Ecocash agents in Harare, transferring the money to his personal Ecocash account. Additionally, he allegedly used various deceptive methods to obtain funds from E-Creator employees, resulting in losses exceeding $1 million.
The closure of E-Creator has caused significant distress among Zimbabweans who had placed their faith and investments into the platform. In response, Anna Honde, a prominent figure on social media, took to Facebook to announce her offer of a $200 reward for the successful capture of Zhao Jiaotong.
“Who ever is going to catch muChinese we E creator l will give you 200usd,” Anna Honde wrote.
