After being cleared of all rape charges, ex-Manchester City playerncase sparked a discussion on social media when Shadaya Knight shared his thoughts and expressed his concerns about the repercussions of false accusations of r_ape made by women.
In his post, Shadaya Knight expressed his concern over the detrimental effects that false accusations of r_ape can have on a person’s career and reputation, specifically referencing the impact it had on Benjamin Mendy.
Shadaya wrote:
Ex-Manchester City player Benjamin Mendy cleared of all rape charges. But at what cost, both his career & life has been ruined by false allegations. With regards to his career, contract with Manchester City got terminated & will probably never get signed by any big team due to the stigma of him having been accused of rape With regards to his life, he went to prison, lost valuable time & his reputation down the drain, he’ll forever be a rap!st in society And the accusers, continue their lives, like nothing ever happened. When will this end? When will society realize the same trauma that a woman rap£d experiences is just as equal as the trauma a man goes for falsely being accused of rap£.
Shadaya’s post sparked a contentious discussion, with some individuals coming to the defense of the alleged victim in Benjamin Mendy’s case. They argued that the lack of sufficient evidence may have played a role in the outcome of the trial.However, some individuals voiced the opinion that women who make false allegations of r-ape against men should face appropriate consequences and be held accountable for their actions.

In the UK “Not guilty” doesn’t mean innocent. Most of the times it means that there wasn’t enough evidence to convict. The UK has a higher evidenciary threshold than the US. Please read the trial transcripts before you accuse the accusers of lying. He had good lawyers.
@debelistic
Did you read the trial transcripts I’ve read some of it and nothing suggested he committed those crimes. It’s just mostly their words against his and it’s stupid how things played this long before he got justice.

Since the days of Potiphar, it has always been so

We, men are just talking on Twitter we don’t take action, I think at this point in time men should be their brother’s defender, especially in cases against women……i’ve already started defending men in my local environment, we all must follow suit if we need a change
@Keithscimmi
The courts should just make these women who lie about r_ape serve the same sentences as those found guilty in r_ape cases.
Benjamin Mendy, a former footballer for Manchester City, has been acquitted of charges of rape and attempted rape.
The 28-year-old was accused of assaulting a 24-year-old woman at his luxurious £4 million residence in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire, in October 2020.
Additionally, Mendy faced allegations of attempting to r_ape another woman, aged 29, who claimed that he had also subjected her to unwanted s_exual advances at his residence two years prior.These recent charges followed an earlier trial in January, where he was cleared of six r_ape charges.
During a three-week trial at Chester Crown Court, Benjamin Mendy, the French international footballer, experienced a surge of emotions and tears as the jury foreman delivered the verdict of not guilty.
