AN independent National Assembly candidate for Nketa constituency Vincent Bhala is alleged to be “double dipping” after pictures of his not-so-secret night escapades were caught on camera.
In a series of pictures shared with this publication, Bhala, a married man is seen making out with a mystery woman, who sources say is not his wife.
Bhala denied the allegations saying he was a family man and was always with his wife, while also accusing Zanu-PF of trying to taint his image.
“That’s my wife. These are just allegations. I am always with my wife. Do whatever you want. Am I that much of a threat to Zanu-PF? This is news to me. Send me the pictures I want to see,” said Bhala in his defence.
Soon after receiving a call from this publication on Thursday, Bhala went on to write a message in a residents’ group from the constituency, perhaps in an effort to lobby for sympathy and cover his tracks.
“Good morning Badala Just received a call from Chronicle about certain allegations which I’m sure were made by a certain Zanu cadre about me.
After refusing their plea for me to withdraw from elections they have resorted to try and tarnish my image and dignity. All that will not stop the train moving towards change and making Nketa an independent Constituency. Iground liyala varakashi, the people have rejected you. Let them decide their leader. Cheap politics elizizamayo lezi. No turning back No reverse no surrender. Vote Bhala MP Nketa 2023,” he wrote.
However, a source who spoke on condition of anonymity, claimed Bhala was a casanova and was not a suitable candidate to lead the community.
“He has childish tendencies and still lives at his parents’ house. He needs to clean up his act if we are to take him seriously or if he wants us to vote for him,” said a resident.
