Alick Macheso surprises Makhadzi

South African high-flying musician Makhadzi dropped to the ground after Alick Macheso surprised her onstage in Kadoma over the weekend.

Makhadzi was part of a sterling lineup at the Kadoma Music Festival on 14 October 2023. DJ Tira, Winky D, Jah Prayzah, and Alick Macheso lit up the mining and farming town over the weekend. The fully-subscribed show at The Kadoma Odyssey lived up to its billing as the five artists gave their best onstage.

The Movie hitmaker took to the stage and confessed that she loves Winky D and Jah Prayzah before starting her performance.

She then belted hits, and as she was about to sing her new song Shampopo, Alick Macheso surprised her and stormed the stage. When she noticed him, Makhadzi leapt up joyfully and fell to the ground. She bowed down in obeisance, and Macheso crouched down to greet her.

Producer and musician Mr Brown joined them on the ground, and the three started singing their song, Shampopo.

Makhadzi wrote on her Instagram:

“BABA Alick Macheso surprised me on stage. It was my first time performing our song together with Mr Brown. Kadoma was fire 🔥. Thanks for the love and support. Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 was nice 👌.”

Zimbabweans were thrilled by Makhadzi’s reverence of Alick Macheso. Check out their comments below.

Paida:
