The Anglican Diocese of Manicaland has released the names of the eight people who l0st their lives when a bus caught fire on the Nyabandza-Gandanzara Road in Rusape, leaving 65 members of the church on board returning from a pilgrimage.
The deceased include:
Gladys Gumiro, a congregant of St Theresa Church in Bvumba
Winnie Chiremba, a congregant of St Theresa Church in Bvumba
Agnes Miti, a congregant of St Theresa Church in Bvumba
Annie Miti, a congregant of St Theresa Church in Bvumba
Viola Nyambabvu, a congregant of St John’s Church in Zambe
Bradley Mukwenhe, a six-month-old infant from St Theresa Zambe
Charity Nyamapfene, a congregant of St Dennis Church in Njerama
Margaret Dairo, a congregant of St Dennis Church in Njerama
A memorial service will be held on June 20 at St Theresa Church in Bvumba to remember the deceased and celebrate their lives and legacies. The diocese is also seeking prayers and thoughts for the survivors of the tragedy, who are recovering well from their !njuries.
