A prominent Harare preacher and founder of Apostle T.F. Chiwenga Ministries, has criticised Vice President Chiwenga for his recent remarks warning money changers involved in forex exchange.
In a statement obtained by Newsreportzim.com, Apostle Talent Chiwenga condemned VP Chiwenga’s warning to money changers, where he cautioned that they would face dire consequences if they did not cease their activities, stating, “Unoremadzwa,” during a Zanu-PF gathering.
Apostle Talent highlighted several instances where decisive action should have been taken against real criminals, citing cases such as Henrietta Rushwaya and Delish Ngwaya, both of whom are allegedly allies of the President Mnangagwa and have been implicated in serious crimes including mineral smuggling and corruption.
Known for his outspokenness in criticicing politicians and religious leaders during his sermons, Apostle Talent also referenced the notorious exploitation of the Chiadzwa Diamonds, which led to former President R.G. Mugabe announcing a missing revenue of USD 15 billion. He argued that if Vice President Chiwenga, with his military background, was as decisive and stringent in dealing with criminals, he should have addressed such critical issues.
Apostle Chiwenga reminded Vice President that he is no longer a military figure and advised him to prioritize building relationships with his family and adopt a more civil approach to governance.
