Police in Nkayi have arrested Siphilelinkosi Ngwenya, aged 30, in connection with a m_rder case that has sh0cked the local community.
The incident, which occurred at the Zinyangeni Business Centre on August 2 2024, resulted in the untimely d3ath of Nkosilamandla Ngwenya, also 30.
According to authorities, the altercation between the two men arose from a heated argument over a st0len cell phone.
Witnesses indicate that the dispute escalated quickly, leading to a tragic outcome. In a moment of rage, Siphilelinkosi Ngwenya allegedly st_bbed Nkosilamandla Ngwenya in the stomach with an Okapi knife, a type of folding knife commonly used in many households.
The viol3nt confrontation left Nkosilamandla gravely inj_red. He was later discovered lifeless in a disused building near the business center.
The police were alerted immediately following the incident and began collecting evidence and statements from potential witnesses.
Acting swiftly, they apprehended Siphilelinkosi Ngwenya shortly thereafter, demonstrating their commitment to ensuring justice for the victim and his family.
