A gang of five suspected armed robbers pounced a house along Aberdeen Road, Avondale, Harare.
The incident took place on Saturday when a gang of suspected armed robbery att@ck a security guard before ste@ling two cellphones.
According to reports the victim managed to escape and alerted the Zimbabwe Republic Police. Police in Harare reacted rapidly to the report and they managed to arrest one of the robbers identified as Harrison Chiocha.
The arrest of Harrison Chiocha led to the recovery of a machete , an axe, two hummers, a bolt cutter, a CCTV server and cables.

“On 06/04/24, Police in Harare reacted swiftly to an armed robbery report and arrested Harrison Chiocha (39) for attacking a security guard before stealing two cellphones at a house along Aberdeen Road, Avondale. The security guard managed to escape and alerted the police.”
“The suspect was apprehended whilst fleeing from the scene. The other four suspects escaped. The arrest led to the recovery of a machete , an axe, two hummers, a bolt cutter, a CCTV server and cables.”
“Meanwhile, police in Gwanda are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a case of m*rder in which Khaulani Ndlovu (32) was found de@d with multiple st@b wounds all over the body along a dust road between Mornef and Bina mine area on 06/04/24.”
