Arsenal head coach and manager, Mikel Arteta is hoping that his side will bounce back in it’s winning ways following a controversial Champions League defeat at Inter Milan last night.
Arsenal crashed to a 1-0 loss in the San Siro on Wednesday night, adding to the growing sense of turmoil around a team that was expected to mount a strong challenge for European and domestic silverware.
Despite Arsenal’s domination for large periods against Inter, Hakan Calhanoglu converted the spot-kick in first-half stoppage time when Mikel Merino was adjudged to have handled the ball.
Addressing his players after the match, Mikel Arteta said if we go to Chelsea and play the way we played tonight against Inter, we will win.
“The way we played tonight against Inter… the team can go to Chelsea and win,” Arteta said.
Arteta’s team are languishing in fifth place in the Premier League, already seven points behind leaders Liverpool ahead of Sunday’s crucial London derby at Chelsea.
